Photography

There is so much beauty all around us if we take the time to stop and look. Even in the most unlikely of places. Photography forces me to do that, to pause and take in what I am seeing. I love nature best. Flowers, water, vistas, but I also look for shapes, colours, movement and the out of the ordinary.

I’ve only recently taken a more in-depth approach to photography. In the past it has only been a tool for my graphic design business, but as I am now retired from graphics, I revel in making pictures for the sheer joy of doing so. As I continue to learn, I try new techniques, new subjects. Soon, when it is safe to do so, I would like to begin photographing people, too. That one, I must admit, frightens me a bit, but that makes it all the more exciting.
